hands - Palmistry 101

Touch. Rub. Feel. Grip.
Click. Clap. Hands, wonderful hands. Have you ever watched a
young baby stare in awe and amazement at the bewildering sight
of the things on the end of his arms? Slowly he rotates them
back and forward, back and forward, oh what marvels these things
called hands. How lost we would be without these hands - they
are the road maps of our souls. And just like we are able to
read a street directory to help guide us in our journey so too
can we read our hands. Below for your pleasure we have briefly
described your main lines and what they mean, and how to
interpret them, much to the dismay of the local "Party Person"
(who delights in telling the fortunes of others over several
glasses of wine) a short life line does not necessarily mean a
short life!
The left or the right - is the right right and the left wrong???
Basically, the rule of thumb (pardon the pun) is which ever hand
they write with is considered their dominant hand. When doing a
reading you need to find out whether they are left or right
handed. So then their dominant hand shows their future and where
they're headed and their left hand shows their past and where
they've been. Another belief, however not so common is the left
hand (that is if they are a right handed person) is what they
were born with and the right hand shows what they have made of
themselves. This is a positive reinforcement of just how well
someone has done when comparing both hands.
Like most mystic tools, all facets should be taken into
consideration, what we have prepared for you is an introduction,
you can then search, research and re-research to your hearts
delight.
Timeline indications: Below I have also listed which way you
read a line for example the head line is read from the end
nearest the thumb and if you laid a time line over that you
would gradually increase the time and therefore the age of the
persons line you are reading.
Head Line deals with your intellect, creativity and the way you
handle life. This line is read from the end nearest the thumb.
The length of your head line indicative of the level of
intelligence, if your line goes straight across palm you are a
practical and down to earth person. A head line curving toward
heart line indicates good business ability. A clear and distinct
head line shows good concentration and if your head line ends
with a fork you are clever and diplomatic.
If you look at your hand there are generally three major lines
running off from the thumb area, the Head Line is the middle
one.
Heart Line deals with your emotional responses to life. This
line is read from the end nearest the little finger. If your
heart line is long and curved with some distance from the
fingers this shows a warmhearted, kind person. If your heart
line is longer and stronger than that of your head line this
means that your heart rules your head or all your decisions are
emotionally based. A very deep heart line and one that runs
close to the fingers shows tendencies to be possessive and if
you have chain like links you could be a little bit of a flirt.
If you look at your hand there are generally three major lines
running off from the thumb area, the Heart Line is the top one
(closest to the fingers).
Life Line deals with matters of health and your well-being. This
line is read downwards towards the wrist. If your life line is
long and clear you have good health and vitality you approach
each day with all the enthusiasm it deserves. A short and faint
line means that you lack energy and may be somewhat frail, time
to recharge your batteries! Breaks in the line show many changes
in the direction of life. If you have a break in only one hand
this shows an illness followed by a speedy recovery - in both
hands in the same area shows a slightly more serious illness. If
your life line ends in a fork this indicates long distance
travel. Two small branches means money
Fate Line deals with money, career and ethics decisions. This
line is read upwards.
If your fate line is straight and unbroken this means a
successful, untroubled life. If you fate line breaks this
indicates sudden changes. We are the accumulation of our life
experiences, we always need the downs to help us appreciate just
how wonderful the ups are. If your fate line starts from the
head line or heart line this indicates success late in life,
usually by your own hand (pardon the pun!)
Affection Line deals with marriage and children. This line is
read from the little finger towards the thumb. The more the
marrier!.... OK so poetry is not my strong point. The more
(strong defined) lines you have in this area the more
relationships you will have. If your lines are strong and
defined a happy relationship will be, however broken lines will
lead to a separation for thee (and you didn't think I could
rhyme). If your affection line curves down you will out live
your partner.
From the affection line running up to the base of the little
finger are the child lines, obviously indicative of the number
of children you have each line indicates the number of children,
the line for a boy is darker than the line for girl.
Sun Line some times referred to as the Line of Apollo, this line
deals with your happiness and enjoyment of life. This line is
read upwards. A clear and straight sun line shows a lucky
person. If your sun line starts from your life line or your fate
line you will have many successes as a result of using your
talents. If your sun line starts from head line your success
will come to you in your middle ages.
If the line of sun is absent this does not mean that the owner
will be unsuccessful with money. A financially secure person
without a line of sun will normally have a well defined line of
fate. A line of sun is more closely associated with contentment
and for some contentment comes when material happiness does.
